Gas Bar/C-Store/Carwash Grand Opening:

On August 10, Swan Valley Co-op at Swan River hosted the grand opening of their new gas bar and cardlock site. Sitting on two acres of prime property adjacent to busy Hwy #10, this beautiful new site features:
- A 2042 sq. ft. c-store
- A starting gate in a 4-pump, 8-lane configuration
- A six bay wand wash
- A commercial cardlock
The official “hose cutting” by General Manager Don Declerq and President Sharon Alford (and Cooper, of course) was well attended by hundreds of loyal members, local dignitaries and neighbouring region retail members who all came out to witness the official opening. | On August 10, Swan Valley Co-op celebrated the Grand Opening of our new Gas Bar/C-Store/Carwash located on Kelsey Trail, just off of Highway #10 in Swan River. This new facility features a 2042 sq. foot c-store, 8-lane gas bar and a 6-bay wand wash. The official "hose cutting" was done by Howard Beck, location manager, with assistance from Sharon Alford, President, and Cooper, our mascot, and Don Declercq, General Manager, and approximately 100 onlookers in attendance. After the "hose cutting", customers were treated to free cake and coffee.

Billion $ Event
In August 2011, Swan Valley Co-op hit the $1 billion mark in accumulated sales since date of incorporation in April of 1940. To help celebrate the occasion, the co-op held a Billion $ Event which culminated in a consumer draw for $2,000 in Co-op gift cards. The final drawing was held in October during Co-op Week. Pictured below, Mrs. D. Schuweiler accepts the grand prize of a $1,000 gift card from General Manager Don Declercq as Cooper, the Co-op mascot, looks on and Don cuts the Billion $ Event cake which was served to our members.
